Episodes: 13
Overall Thoughts: Decent plot, cute characters and nice love story. Good anime, but not something I'd watch twice.

Pretear is the story of a girl named Himeno, an upbeat and energetic teenager. However, when her father remarries a wealthy woman, she feels overwhelmed by this sudden jolt into elite society and questions if there is a place where she will truly belong.
On an ordinary day, running to school, something happens that changes her life.
She crashes into a man. Not just any man, but Hayate the leafe knight of wind. When they touched they had a magical and powerful connection. Himeno thinks he is quite handsome and Hayate recognises that the connection means they have found the new Pretear.
Later, Himeno is told she is something called a Pretear. Pretears, when they make a connection with a leafe knight, have the ability to control their elemental powers.
Struggling with all this new information about pretears, leafe knights and the energy of leafe, Himeno must learn to use her new powers.
She developes bonds with all the knights, in particular Hayate. Quite a few comic moments and lots of bickering between the two, clearly show they have the hots for each other but are denying it.
Imminent threats from the Princess of Disaster brings the seriousness back to training up the new Pretear. All things don't go as planned however, as Himeno questions her abilities and whether she is strong enough to fullfill the role of the Pretear.

This anime has eccentric characters, an interesting plot and a nice love story thrown in.
It is a nice anime to watch and ranks about half way in my list.
If you haven't seen it, give it a go!
Definitely not on the same scale as Kaichou wa Maidsama or Ouran Highschool Host Club.
